German Federal Minister for Families Starts Initiative "Family-Conscious Working Hours" Together With German Chamber of Industry and Commerce

Initiative started: German Federal Ministry for Families and German Chamber of Industry and Commerce promote family-conscious working hours.

On 29 October Dr Kristina Schröder, the German Federal Minister for Families, has launched the initiative “Family-Conscious Working Hours” together with the president of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Professor Dr Hans Heinrich Driftmann. The aim of the initiative is to motivate and support employers in offering more family-friendly and flexible working hour schemes in the future. An online data base shows how many good examples exist already today. It includes 100 employees and employers that use or offer family-conscious working hours.
