As a distributor and service provider, we are committed to providing our retail partners with the optimum support on the journey from product manufacture to purchase by private or commercial consumers.
Retail and Specialist Retail
KOMSA’s specialist retail partners include mobile phone shops and telecommunications specialists all over Germany. We also support the 2,000 members of retailer cooperative aetka via this sales channel.
KOMSA subsidiary aetka is the largest cooperation of independent specialist retailers in Germany. Their shared pledge: We take care of it! That means: any queries from private and commercial consumers regarding mobile communications, fixed line networks, internet, smart home or IT. And they do it shoulder-to-shoulder with you: a personal approach, with plenty of heart. The aetka team also ensures that online and offline business dovetails perfectly in order to secure additional revenue for bricks-and-mortar retail.
Boasting its own merchandise management system, easyFilius, aetka offers a flexible and easy connection to our KOMSA warehouse for its partners. The margin calculator developed for retail partners also helps mobile communications retailers by providing a reliable calculation aid in the maze of tariffs.
For electrical stores and large retailers such as Media Markt, Saturn, Euronics, Expert, EP and Medimax, KOMSA supplies a type of virtual warehouse that they can access at any time. Regarding the automatic replenishment of in-demand products, KOMSA also offers an auto-replenishment solution in order to ensure that products are always available in store.
Furthermore, KOMSA supplies food retailers ‒ and therefore many large discounters and supermarket chains ‒ with digital products and accessories. Food retailers often have very specific requirements regarding supply and packaging. KOMSA responds by offering production services such as applying brand names, special packaging or certain labels.
The KOMSA Group supplies watch and jewellery retailers, large jewellery chains such as Christ and Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof, and specialist sports retailers with wearables (smartwatches, fitness trackers, etc.). We provide particular assistance to specialist watch and jewellery retailers in marketing and in expanding their technical knowledge about specific products.
While jewellers typically wait several months for deliveries of conventional watches and jewellery, and usually have to accept complete collections, KOMSA offers the opportunity to order exactly what they need “just in time” ‒ even if that’s only a small amount.
Online Retail & Online Marketplaces
Online retailers and marketplaces are already hugely important to consumers, and will become increasingly significant in the future too. About one in eight euros is spent online, according to the German E-Commerce and Distance Selling Trade Association (bevh).

System houses and system integrators are specialist retailers that focus on marketing telecommunications products to business customers. Our system house partners include large firms such as Bechtle, Cancom and Computacenter, as well as many other system integrators such as ITR AG, Enterprise Communication and Services, and MTG.
KOMSA offers its system house partners a portfolio of complex telecommunications solutions, network technology, unified communications, network infrastructure in fixed line networks and mobile communications, headsets & video conferencing technology as well as a comprehensive range of accessories.
Having worked extensively with system houses, KOMSA has a wealth of experience and can provide you with competent support and qualified contact partners. We are also at your disposal with a wide range of additional services such as build-to-customer-order, Wi-Fi scoping, DECT measuring kits, support from our Technical Assistance Centre, and training courses at our KOMSA Academy.
Direct Shipping to Consumers | Otto & KOMSA
Partnering up with Europe’s second-largest online retailer, Otto, KOMSA has operated a direct shipping service to consumers since July 2019.
So when a customer orders a smartphone, tablet or smartwatch on Otto.de, the order comes through to the Hamburg-based company. But the journey then embarked on by the smartphone starts 500 km further south – at the KOMSA logistics hub in Hartmannsdorf. KOMSA now dispatches approximately 50,000 packages for Otto each month.

The retailer cooperative aetka brings together over 2,000 specialist retailers, telecommunications stores, mobile phone shops and network operator-specific stores across Germany. These independent contractors and their teams offer independent, personalized advice and target-oriented services to private and commercial consumers.
KOMSA subsidiary aetka delivers a broad range of support services for dealing with PoS and online customers. For made-to-measure online marketing services, aetka’s e-commerce experts will discuss suitable measures with specialist retailers, based on their company size, location and customer focus. They also offer guidance during implementation and subsequent evaluation.
