In 1982, Joe Hemani founded the IT distributor Westcoast in a suburb of London. Ten years later, in 1992, Gunnar Grosse and Jürgen Unger joined forces with two other companions to bring mobile telephony to Germany with KOMSA. While KOMSA develops into the largest telecommunications distributor and service provider in Germany, Westcoast becomes the number 1 in the UK. With the merger, the two companies now form the largest private sales and service alliance in Europe.
